Can you engage in high-risk behaviors and maintain your goals towards a successful college education and beyond? Not everyone is lucky enough to get through the partying intact and make it to graduation. Sex and Excess: Surviving the Party is a high-energy, interactive and fun program that challenges students to reassess their goals and evaluate the effects of high-risk behaviors. This dynamic program leaves students talking for weeks!
High-risk drinking is the most destructive behavior to a successful college education. Through hard facts, emotional stories, and playful humor, Elaine highlights the effects of alcohol abuse on decision-making skills and the resulting negative consequences. Four hundred thousand college students annually engage in unprotected sex as a result of consuming too much alcohol. Elaine effectively connects alcohol to unprotected sex and sexual assault. She openly discusses sexual responsibility and the consequences of unwanted pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections. Audiences are on their feet and are placed in real-life situations as Elaine uniquely promotes sexual responsibility and healthy communication through thought-provoking hands on activities, outrageous songs and role-playing exercises. Her warmth and non-judgmental approach elicits positive responses from students, with many stating that she dramatically changed their lives by allowing them to reassess their past choices.
Elaine motivates students to understand that good people make bad choices as one inconsequential decision can be life-altering. Her main objective is to encourage students to think about the long-term consequences of high-risk behaviors as she empowers them to make responsible choices. Students learn to base decisions on facts rather than emotions and to confront their own behavior choices while learning to party responsibly, and with respect for one another. This dynamic and entertaining program teaches students that they can prioritize their personal and academic goals and still have fun in college.
Numerous campuses request this as an alcohol-focused program and others want to highlight sexual responsibility. Elaine will discuss the topics that a re available and specifically tailor the program to address the needs for your student population.
"Your program is so practical. Instead of saying, "Don't do it," you tell us how to do it safely."
